Woody, mostly herbaceous vine native to Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana, east to Florida and north to Missouri and Kansas. Related to grapes, Virginia Creeper and Boston Ivy but with extremely succulent leaves and small, greenish flowers followed by black berries.
